I just got this dog agility starter kit from Kyjen! It is relatively inexpensive and the pieces show that in the quality. But it really is perfect for a beginner like Pierson. It includes a tunnel, the weave poles, and a pole for him to jump over. Here are some pictures of him using it:
I did not set up the weave poles yet. It is still too muddy out. But Pierson has been working on the weave command. For now, we are doing each of the sections of the agility course separately. When he has all the commands down, I will start running him through the course. Hopefully, I will have a video for you in a month or two.
I was not compensated in any way for this review. I bought the Kyjen dog agility starter kit on my own, just for my boy Pierson. You can find one for your dog on my Amazon a-store HERE.

Wow – this is very cool. I’ve been thinking about agility for Jack but didn’t want to invest too much $$.

That’s great – agility and flyball are amongst the fastest growing sports here in the UK – we know as we make dog harness for agility and flyball. That starter kit is a realist price, me thinks and at least gives you an opportunity to see whether you want to get more serious without spending too much money. Looks like a winning product and maybe you and Pierson are going to get hooked – keeps humans fit too !!

Ace and I used to attend an agility class. He loved it so much that he was sooo, soo excited and I would get frustrated with him. So we eventually stopped taking the class. We have a set of weave poles, and I should set those up in the yard for him this weekend. He loves anything agility related.

Larger dogs do have to bend down for tunnels, unfortunately. But once they get used to it, they’ll barrel through and it doesn’t slow them down. Plus, the crouching is great strength and flexibility training!

Great job Pierson – Those tunnel things can be a bit scary, maybe you should hold out for two treats next time? Just a thought! Tee Hee
Wags to all,
Your pal Snoopy 🙂
