We’ve had a long winter with a lot of snow this year. Although Maya & Pierson enjoyed it, I’m glad to finally see signs of spring.

I told Maya no sticks, but she loves them so much! Now that the snow is melted, she found a new one to chew on.

Pierson is looking for those pesky rabbits that live under our shed. He saw them in the yard earlier so he knows they are there.

Our crocus are finally peeking out from under the snow. However, Bailey is still holding on to that last snow pile.

How could anyone deny Maya a stick when she looks so utterly adorable with one?!? Glad spring is finally getting to you.

She eats her sticks and I’m afraid she will swallow a splinter. I also worry about her when she runs with one. I can just see her running one end of the stick into the ground and the other end jamming her in the back of the throat. So stick playing is strictly supervised.

No rain today. It is supposed to be in the 50’s today but the overcast makes it feel cooler.

Maya is too cute with that stick! That yard must look a dream after winter. 🙂 So nice to see enjoying some fun in the sun! Hmm maybe to help with Maya’s stick love, you could get her a rubber stick like this one? http://www.baxterboo.com/dog/supplies.cfm/grriggles-rubber-stick-dog-toys

That looks like an interesting toy! Although, I think it is the texture and the chewability of the stick that she loves so I’m not sure if she will play with a rubber one. But it’s worth a try. Thanks! 🙂

Another option might be the Safestick or something like the Pekaboodle stick: http://www.petkaboodle.com/img/store/catalog/60/2260l.jpg. Both are harder and chewable though quite large. Maybe the next time you’re in the petshop or supermart they’ll have something that works even better. 🙂

Wonderful pictures and I see your grass is starting to get green. We need some warm weather because we are stuck with brown grass for now!
